MCDHH was awarded a $64,100 grant by the Minnesota Historical Society for "Minnesota Oral/Visual History Project" and close to $20,000 worth of service from Minnesota Digital Library: Reflections Project to digitalize and make public online selected historical photos and documents from MADC, Thompson Hall and MSAD Museum archives. The Board of Teaching voted to launch rulemaking to enact recommended changes for licensure of teachers of the deaf and hard of hearing at their August 6, 2010, public meeting. These include recommendations of for teachers of the deaf and hard of hearing. This summer the Commission participated in preliminary rulemaking meetings at the Minnesota State Services for the Blind (SSB). SSB is reviewing Minnesota Rule 3325, which regulates SSB's vocational rehabilitation and independent living programs. There is still time to get involved with the revision of these rules. Read more
