MCDHH Staffer Quoted in Time Magazine & Appointed to SSB Rehab Council

Last week MCDHH’s technology specialist, Jamie Taylor, testified at a hearing on net neutrality that was attended by Senator Al Franken and two comissioners from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Jamie’s testimony was later included in an article written by Justin Horwath for Time magazine’s website!

Click here view the article. Her testimony addressed concerns that the internet is often inaccessible for people with disabilities and there may be added barriers to access if internet service providers are able to limit the bandwidth of certain websites.

Jamie Taylor Appointed to State Services for the Blind Rehab Council

Governor Pawlenty appointed Jamie Taylor to the Minnesota Rehabilitation for the Blind Council. Jamie was appointed to a three year term. Congratulations Jamie!
