Minnesota Governor’s Debates Captioned Online Through the UpTake

UpTake Minnesota is voluntarily captioning many of the gubenatorial debates across the state. If you are interested in the Governor’s debates (and we think you should be!!) you can pull up the debates and watch anytime. They are not providing live captioning, but post production. The videos are on The Uptake’s website and on its YouTube channel. Click here for a link to the UpTake’s captioned videos.

Request for Captioning Volunteers

“The UpTake is providing transcripts of each Gubernatorial debate this campaign. Having transcripts means our debate videos are closed captioned on YouTube, and a wider voting audience has access to fuller information. If you or your friends are interested in transcribing, email info@theuptake.org. All you need is a computer (Mac or PC) with Internet access and the movie viewer Quicktime, which is a free download. Please see the attached and see the difference your contribution will make. Forward this message to your friends; grab a few of them and dive into a debate together. If you’ve been hanging on to every word, you’ll hear them backwards, forwards, and inside out. Thanks for reading!”

Thank the Uptake!!

Thank the Uptake for voluntarily making the debates accessible. Nice to see people doing the right thing without us asking, pushing or begging. Contact them at info@theuptake.org
